As a new event for the club, Brian Burnett organised a duathlon event at Birchwood Forest Park. The first event was a great success and it is likely that there will be more in the future, although as the nights draw in, they may well be at the weekend.

Report by Julian: Not surprisingly, our international junior, Mat Burnett, won overall. Julian was sdurprised to beat Mat by 4 seconds on the bike route. Janet Robertson had the third fasted bike leg of the 10 competitors. The most amusing part of the evening was watching Mike Salmon fight his way out of his bike helmet which ost him much of the time he had gained on the bike, In the Hewitt household battle, Anne beat Les by easily recovering time lost on the bike on the two runs. I look forward to seeing the two rivals at their next head to head.
