We are sad to report that Peter Lowe, who had been a member of Spectrum Striders for 8 years, was fatally injured in a road accident whilst out running.

Peter who lived in Cadishead with his wife Barbara and daughter Laura was running along Manchester Road, Rixton, near the Warburton Bridge lights on Wednesday evening 23rd January 2002 when he was involved in a collision with a car. He died later that evening in hospital.

On behalf of the Club, the Committee have passed our condolences on to his family. Seven members of the club attended Peter's funeral service at St Mary's Church, Cadishead on 4th February.

Barbara has requested that rather than sending flowers, donations are made to The Children's Society charity.
