This is a new page which we are proposing to use to publish details of forthcoming club activities other than races, or other items of interest to members.
Presentation to Warrington Hospital
In July 2002, the club
presented a cheque for £300 to the Special Care Baby Unit at
Warrington Hospital. The money was from the proceeds of the 2001
Birchwood 10K Road Race. The Special Care Baby Unit has benefited
for a number of years from the Birchwood 10K Road Race.

Fitness Testing at NEWI Wrexham

In each of the last 3 years, several of us have gone for a detailed assessment of our fitness levels at the North East Wales Institute, Wrexham Campus. It was arranged through Eric Pendleton and testing was supervised by his niece Jacky, a lecturer at NEWI and who runs the department. The tests were carried out by 3rd year students as part of their Sports Science degree course.
