Sports Coach - excellent site from Brian McKenzie, Senior UK Athletics Coach. Covers all the coaching aspects that you would expect, and so much more. For runners, not just coaches. Definitely worth a visit!

Lucozade Sport - site with a wide range of information, mostly focused on their own products

NISMAT - a lot of detailed information on sports injuries and treatment from this American Institute

Dietsite - USA based site with general information on sports nutrition and supplements

UK Athletics Club Website Directory - This is not an official site of the UK Athletics organisation.  It is an independent site produced by Tim Grose, part of a larger site covering athletics tracks. Clubs are listed in a single large alphabetical list

Club Finder - Extensive links to clubs produced by John Falvey, using the same database as Tim Grose, but sorted by regions and then by counties and additional features.

Ballymena Runners - their links page. Includes extensive links to many clubs throughout the UK, also links to various other interesting web sites.

British Athletics - independent site, not connected to any governing body.  Links to clubs including Spectrum, and links to events

Run-Down - USA based site with a lot of info of interest to runners, including tips, training advice, discussion groups, health & nutrition and an extensive list of clubs' websites internationally including the UK with opportunity to rate them on a 1-10 scale - Spectrum Link Page - why not rate this site? Other people have already done so!

Onrunning - Comprehensive info on all sorts of athletics and running, but rich on graphics and adverts. Also hosts the sites for the Great North Run and a very limited section for Running Fitness magazine that is little more than an advert

Runner's World UK - on-line from the publishers of the monthly magazine

Women's Running - from the American edition of Runner's World Magazine

Athletics Online - now the site for Athletics Weekly magazine, aimed at track & field athletics

British Athletics Supporters Club - "Our aim is to encourage support for athletics at all levels, including support of national teams at home or abroad."

Deeside Orienteering Club - our local club, covering Warrington, the western half of Cheshire, Chester, Deeside and Wirral. A few of our club members are also members of Deeside OC

British Orienteering Federation - the website of the governing body for the sport in the UK

Amateur Swimming Association - the national governing body for swimming and related sports

British Long Distance Swimming Association

Postal Swim Event - annual national 1 hour swimming event at many locations throughout the UK in the first part of each year. Organised by the BLDSA

British Cycling - the governing body for all types of cycling in GB

Cyclists' Touring Club - the long established organisation for leisure cycling and touring

Road Time Trials Council - national governing body for road time trials, based in Greater Manchester
