As you may know, the sports retailer Decathlon is opening a new store in Warrington on Thu 8-Dec and Spectrum Striders have been invited to be present at a special VIP preview opening night 6-9pm on Wed 7-Dec.  In addition to this all attendees to the VIP night will receive a goody bag and a £10 store voucher to be spent in store that evening (this could be £20 if you are there early enough to be on of the first 50!).

There is also a great chance to earn our club £300 in vouchers - simply if on the night our club has the most members in attendance!  So, lets make an effort and see if we can bag the £300 and show Decathlon how serious we take our running and our club.

The event is taking place on Wed 7-Dec 6-9pm at Decathlon, on the A49 Warrington, a few hundred yards north of the Fire Station.

Decathlon is a sports specialist that provides technical sports equipment for over 70 sports under one roof and will soon be opening its 684th store worldwide in Warrington's Orford Park.

We are passionate about supporting sport in the local area and on Wednesday 7th December we are inviting the local sporting community to have a sneak preview of the store.  Doors will open from 6-9pm with nibbles and drink provided.  Rugby legend Martin Offiah will be in attendance along with guest speaker Tony Smith.  Every guest will receive a goody bag with a £10 voucher to spend in store that evening.  The first 50 guests through the door will receive a £20 voucher and a prize of a £300 voucher will be awarded to the club with the most members present on the night.  It promises to be a great night and fantastic opportunity to discuss sport in Warrington with like-minded individuals.

Our aim is to promote participation in sport in Warrington.  We can help to promote your club, stage fundraising events and even loan products.  Please bring any promotional material to fill our club board at the front of the store which will be read by thousands of customers per week.  The store is also a fantastic place to hold fundraising events.  Recently, in our Stockport store we raised £800 for the local scout group who cycled the distance to Sweden on one of our exercise bikes.  For event or promotional opportunities, please contact our store manager Ross at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The opening of the Warrington store marks the launch of our brand new Clubcard scheme which will allow club members to collectively gain points and receive discounts.  Individuals can sign up and link their loyalty card to your club so you can earn points while they shop.  Clubs will be able to sign up for the scheme as of the VIP evening (7th Dec).

To celebrate the opening, there will be a Family Fun Day on Saturday 10th December.  With a climbing wall, speed cage and snowboard simulator it will be a great day out for all the family.  The Wolves' very own Richie Myler will be lending a hand in store along with rugby league legend Martin Offiah.  We look forward to seeing you there!
