This is the first race of the Radcliffe AC 3 Day Challenge (together with the 5 mile Radcliffe Summer Cross Country and the 5 mile Trail Race).
Category: BS, 5½ miles, 1100ft climb.
Race venue: Waggon & Horses pub, 360 Bolton Rd, Hawkshaw, Lancashire, BL8 4JL.
Parking: Park on the main road. No parking on Hawkshaw Lane - there are no turning points or parking areas.
Start: The estimated time to the start is wrong: it is 1 mile steady uphill up Hawkshaw Lane from the pub.
Finish: 1½ miles down the same road back to the pub.
Entry fee: £3.50 on the day

It was a new route for 2011. There was a very steep climb (hand over hand required...), followed by a run across tussocks, all in the first 2 miles. The route is more runnable after that.
