Joint entry with English Half Marathon

The race organisers of the Birchwood 10k and the English Half Marathon in Warrington are once again offering joint race entry, this year at a discount of 20% over the individual race entries.

You can enter the 10k race on-line at UK Forms/BookitZone (left logo).  You can enter the 10k or the fun run on-line at Runner's World (right logo).

There is no entry on the day for the 10k race.

You can enter the 2k fun run in advance or on the day.  Please note that there is no on-line entry for the 2k fun run.

There is a race limit of 1200 runners for the 10k race.

Race HQ will be open from approximately 8:30am on race day. 

Postage

If you are entering by post, please put a Royal Mail Large Letter rate stamp on your SAE, which should be at least 9" x 6".  With the extra size of the timing chip, standard postage is not enough.

If you do not put the right postage on the letter, our entries person has to collect it in person from the Post Office, pay a surcharge (currently £1) plus the extra postage owing.  If this is the case, your entry will not be posted back and you will need to pay the extra charge when you collect on the day.

Corporate Team Challenge

The closing date for pre-entries is Sunday 10-Aug-2013.  Entries may close earlier if the race limit of 1200 runners is reached.

We are not able to offer on-line entry for the Corporate Team Challenge.

Entry Forms by Post

If you would like one or more entry forms sent to you by post, you can write to the following address, but you need to include an SAE for forms to be returned to you

As above, check that you have put the proper stamp on the letter you send to us and on the SAE or you will be surcharged by the Post Office!

Refund policy

Entry fees are not refundable in the unlikely event of cancellation in exceptional circumstances (e.g. weather).

If you have entered the race and are unable to run for whatever reason, like most races we are unable to offer refunds.  Also, we are not able to defer your race entry to the following year.

However we do allow you to transfer your race entry to another runner.

Transfer Of Race Entries

Spectrum Striders will allow runners to transfer their race number to another runner provided they submit a completed entry form which is clearly marked:

"Transfer runner number XXXX from previous runner "

Please give as many details of the previous runner as possible; including "age on race day" and sex. We want to make absolutely sure we transfer the entry from the right person. The entry form for the new runner MUST be completed as normal with age, sex etc.

We would much prefer all changes to get to us before the closing date, but we will accept changes on the day at Race HQ.  If you want to do this, please arrive early!  For changes on the day, we can't guarantee they will be correct in the on-the-day results, although we hope they will if there are not too many changes.

We will not charge a transfer fee to do this unless we incur a cost such as a lost chip. We want to see the right names against the runners in the results.

It is also possible to change team members for a Corporate Challenge team.  The same advice applies as for individual entries: please try to tell us in advance, otherwise please arrive early on the day.
