How To Enter

Both on-line and postal entry are available for the Birchwood 10k.  There will be an extra charge for the on-line entry service but you don't have to provide envelopes or stamps.

As last year, the on-line entry service is being provided by ukresults.net.

Postal entries are available for those who prefer.  To download an entry form (in PDF format), please click here.

Please note that there is no on-line entry for the 2k fun run.  There is only postal entry or entry on the day. 

The closing date for pre-entries is 15-Aug-2010.  Entries may close earlier if the race limit of 1000 runners is reached.

For any race entries received less than 10 days before the race, we will retain the chip & number.  Please collect it on race day at Race HQ.  Please try to arrive early if you need to do this.  If you are collecting your chip & number on the day, please read the race information sheet before race day - please click here to see it (in PDF format).  [The information sheet is currently being updated for 2010 and will be posted here soon.]

If you are entering by post, please put a Royal Mail "Large Letter" rate stamp on your SAE, which should be at least 9" x 6".  With the extra size of the timing chip, standard postage is not enough.

Entries on the day will be accepted at an extra charge (see the entry form for details), up to the race limit of 1000 runners.  It will help if you bring a completed entry form and the right money (or a cheque) although this is not essential.

Corporate Team Challenge

Entry forms for the Corporate Team Challenge are available for download in PDF format.  Please click here.

Please put a Royal Mail "Large Letter" rate first class stamp on your SAE, which should be at least 12" x 9".  With the extra weight and size of the chip, standard postage is not enough.  Also, we will be sending 4 numbers and 4 timing chips so we need a large size SAE.

We are not able to offer on-line entry for the Corporate Team Challenge.

Entry Forms by Post

If you would like one or more entry forms sent to you by post, you can write to the following address, but you need to include an s.a.e. for forms to be returned to you

Transfer Of Race Entries

Spectrum Striders will allow runners to transfer their race number to another runner provided they submit a completed entry form which is clearly marked:

"Transfer runner number XXXX from previous runner "

Please give as many details of the previous runner as possible; including "age on race day" and sex. We want to make absolutely sure we transfer the entry from the right person. The entry form for the new runner MUST be completed as normal with age, sex etc.

We would much prefer all changes to get to us before the closing date, but we will accept changes on the day at Race HQ.  If you want to do this, please arrive early!  For changes on the day, we can't guarantee they will be correct in the on-the-day results, although we hope they will if there are not too many changes.

We will not charge a transfer fee to do this unless we incur a cost such as a lost chip. We want to see the right names against the runners in the results.

It is also possible to change team members for a Corporate Challenge team.  The same advice applies as for individual entries: please try to tell us in advance, otherwise please arrive early on the day.
