Notes for Spectrum Striders RC members:

1. This race clashes with the Village Bakery Half Marathon (Wrexham) which is in the Striders club road championship.
2. If you are not running the road race, please consider helping at the Cross Country.  We will need marshals and other helpers.  Thank you!

All arrangements are now confirmed, including the race details and the post-run refreshments.

(Please note that the Runcorn Town Park cross country race is now the final race in this years North West Sunday Cross Country League, as it was rescheduled from its original date due to the snowy weather.)

This Birchwood Forest Park x/c is race 6 in the league and is usually the final race in the winter North West Sunday Cross Country League.  It is at the usual venue in Birchwood Forest Park and is organised by Spectrum Striders Running Club.  We expect to use the same 4 lap course we have used since 2007.

Refreshments Venue

This is about 3½ miles away at Birchwood Community High School, WA3 7PT.  Directions as follows:

• Please note: this whole route has a 30mph speed limit - you have been warned!
• Leave Birchwood Forest Park car park onto the the roundabout, take the 4th exit, towards Risley Moss entrance.
• After 200yds, turn right at the next roundabout (at Risley Moss)
• After about ½ mile, straight on through the next roundabout (not left).
• After about ½ mile, take first exit (left) at the next roundabout, into Admirals Road signed Oakwood
• After about 200yds, turn first right into Chatfield Drive
• Carry straight on to the end of the road and the High School is on the right after about ⅓ mile.

Please park in the school car park, just past the school and around the back to the right, not on the road.  If the car park is full, please park in one of the Birchwood Shopping Centre car parks.

Enter the school via the Community entrance at the side of the school (facing the car park and playing fields), not via the school front entrance.
