Introduction

The race is in Hollins Green, in the far east of Warrington, and was established in 2002.  It is named after Peter Lowe, a Spectrum Striders club member who was killed in a road accident whilst out running nearby in January 2002.  The race is run under UKA Rules (minimum age 13 years) on an accurately measured 5k road course.

The race is the second race in the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series of road races.  More information on the 5k Series is available on this web site.

We have opted for a late Saturday afternoon start so that you can use the race to relax after doing your shopping and gardening!

Car parking is available behind the Community Centre and on local roads.  Please park responsibly, showing respect for the local residents! Thank you.

Race Route

The race begins in the centre of the village close to the Black Swan pub and the village cross. There is a small loop within the village before it heads out towards Glazebrook, returning to Hollins Green along quiet country lanes.

Entry on the day will be available at an extra charge.  The race can also be entered as part of the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series of races

We offer prizes to the first three finishers as well as to veteran categories and the men's and women's teams.
