The beautiful village of Lymm provides the backdrop to this 5k race, which was first run in 2003.
Why not bring the kids? There is a fun run after the main 5k race which is approx 2k or 1.2 miles. [Adults can also enter the fun run.]
There is cake and hot drinks after the race (free for runners who pre-enter).
We have opted for a late Saturday afternoon start so that you can use the race to relax after doing your shopping and gardening!
You could also save a few quid by entering the race as part of the "North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix" series of 5k races. You get 5 races for the price of 4.
The Lymm 5k is the final race in the 5k series. Click here for more information on the 5k series.
The 5k race is run under UK Athletics Rules, UKA Race License 2013-105198. The minimum age for runners is 12 years old on race day.
Click here to download an entry form (in PDF format). Pre-entry is by post only (no on-line entry).
The closing date for receipt of postal pre-entries is 15-Jun-2013. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for return of your number and race information sheet.
There is a race limit of 400.
With your race number, you receive a race information sheet which includes a race location map and other race details. If you want to download a copy of this, please click here.
Entry on the day will be available, subject to the race limit, at an extra charge (see the entry form for details). If you want to enter on the day, please try to arrive early as it can get very busy in Race HQ. It would help if you could bring a completed race entry form and the right money (or a cheque).
The race can also be entered as part of the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series of races.
The 5k road race will start promptly at 4:30pm.
The 2k fun run will start when the 5k race has finished, but will start no earlier than 5:15pm.
Race HQ (including entries on the day) is at the School (details on the right of this page).
Sorry, there are no changing facilities.
Toilets are at the School.
We are unable to offer facilities to store bags or valuables.
A hot drink and a cake will be provided at the School for all runners who pre-enter .
For runners who enter on the day and spectators, hot drinks & cakes will be available for purchase.
Parking is available at the School and on local roads. It would be appreciated if you could share cars if possible.
Please park responsibly, showing respect for local residents. Thank you!

The race starts and finishes in Highfield Road which is about a quarter of a mile away from Race HQ at the school. The race is a single lap course on roads and lanes in the Lymm area of Warrington.
The road race is an accurately measured 5k. The fun run is approx 2k (not accurately measured).
Entry fees are not refundable in the unlikely event of cancellation in exceptional circumstances (e.g. weather).
If you have entered the race and are unable to run for whatever reason, like most races we are unable to offer refunds. Also, we are not able to defer your race entry to the following year.
However we do allow you to transfer your race entry to another runner.
Spectrum Striders RC will allow runners to transfer their race number to another runner provided they submit a completed entry form which is clearly marked:
"Transfer runner number XXXX from previous runner "
Please give as many details of the previous runner as possible; including "age on race day" and sex. We want to make absolutely sure we transfer the entry from the right person. The entry form for the new runner MUST be completed as normal with age, sex etc.
We would much prefer all changes to get to us before the closing date, but we will accept changes on the day at Race HQ. If you want to do this, please arrive early!
We will not charge a transfer fee to do this unless we incur a cost. We want to see the right names against the runners in the results.Race results are usually available to view at Race HQ after the prize presentation. We aim to have results available to view on this web site on the evening of the race.
We offer prizes to the first three finishers as well as to veteran categories and the men's and women's teams. Under normal circumstances, we aim to have the prize presentation before 6pm, so long as there are no significant problems in producing the race results.
With your race number, you should have received a race information sheet.
If you need any information about the race that you cannot find on the sheet or on this web page, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with details of your query.
