The race start is an hour earlier in 2010 than the usual start time.  This is to avoid a possible clash with a football World Cup match.

Introduction

The Lymm 5k Road race was first run in 2003.  The race is run under UKA Rules (minimum age 13 years) on an accurately measured 5k road course. There is also a fun run which is approx 2k or 1.2 miles.

The Lymm 5k is the final race in the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series of races.  More information on the 5k Series is available on this web site.

There is a free hot drink and a cake for all pre-entered runners.  You must pre-enter the race for this.  On-the-day race entrants and guests may be able to buy refreshments for a small charge.

Car parking is available at the school and on local roads.  Please park responsibly showing respect for the local residents.  Thank you.

Race Route

The race starts and finishes in nearby Highfield Road which is about a quarter of a mile away from the school.  The race is on roads and lanes in the Lymm area.

Pre-entry is by post.  Click here to download an entry form (in PDF format).  The closing date for receipt of postal pre-entries was 19-Jun-2010  Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for return of your number and race information sheet.

With your race number, you receive a race information sheet which includes a race location map and other race details.  If you want to download a copy of this, please click here. 

Entry on the day will be available at an extra charge (see the entry form for details).  The race can also be entered as part of the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series of races.

Results

Race results are usually available to view at Race HQ after the prize presentation.  Results will be available to view on this web site as soon as possible after the race.

Prizes

We offer prizes to the first three finishers as well as to veteran categories and the men's and women's teams.  Under normal circumstances, we aim to have the prize presentation before 6pm, so long as there are no signficant problems in producing the race results.
