Race information is currently provisional but is not expected to change from 2011.

This race is organised by Altrincham & District AC and is race 3 of 5 in the North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series (not to be confused with the "Cheshire County Road Race Grand Prix").

On the 5k series web page, there are entry forms for each individual race and an entry form for the whole 5k series, plus links to results when available.

2011 race information

Race HQ is the Stamford Arms Pub, The Firs, Bowdon, nr Altrincham, WA14 2TW.

Parking is available at the Pub.  There are toilets at the Pub but no changing facilities.  Also at the Pub are race information, enquiries and race results.

The start and finish is about ½ mile away from the Pub at the end of Green Walk.  Allow enough time so that you don't miss the start!

There are no entries on the day this year.  The race limit is 300 runners.  Entry fee is £5 for club runners.

No less than 44 Striders ran the race!

Well done to Janet (Robertson) who won the LV40 prize.  Also, well done to Anne & Alan who also won their categories but the organisers chose not to award prizes for the older veteran categories.  Finally, Alan broke his own MV70 Club record set at Hollins Green.

Well done to Caroline Hemming and Marian Martin who won their classes LV40 and LV50 for the second time in less than a week after doing the same at the Hollins Green 5k!

For reasons that the organisers couldn't resolve, Striders member Alessandro Mirabella was unfortunately missed out of the results.
