The 5K Fun Run was the 3rd arranged this year as a charity fundraising event for local companies in Birchwood. The nominated charity for this event was Children in Need and £500 has been raised for the charity. The event was not organised by Spectrum Striders, although several club members were involved, both in the organisation and in the run.

The route was the same as the Forest Park Ladies 5K Race, alongside Birchwood Brook, past the station and on to Birchwood Boulevard, along the path to Oakwood Gate, over the bridge and back into the Forest Park. There were 76 finishers.
