Children In Need 5k fun run 19-Nov-2004

Thanks to all who took part in this Fun Run in Birchwood Forest Park. Particular thanks to all the marshals & finish recorders. It looks like we should raise over £1000 this year. This is a improvement on last years total of £795. Special thanks to Theresa Dickinson and Warren Richards who have raised £250 between them. Can anyone else do better? Please can you get all the money to me (Julian Spencer) by Friday 26-Nov-2004 so that I can send just one big cheque off. It means we find out how much we raised as well. Another £54 has just arrived from Lyn Dobson.

Apologies to the 6 of you at the end who went the wrong way. Two of you ignored a marshal direction & followed someone not in the race….the other group of you went off course as one marshal failed to turn up, but we did not know until I passed that point. I stopped running & relocated a marshal but they could not cover 2 locations, 60yds apart, very well. Sadly, four of you went off course. I know you were upset but please remember we are all volunteers giving up our time for free. It may seem easy but it involves a significant logistical challenge to get everyone in place at the right time.
