Mat Burnett in the National Biathle Championships
Millfield School, 14/7/01
Congratulations to Mat Burnett who has been competing in the National Biathle Championships. You might remember that earlier this year Mat competed for the GB team at an international meeting in South Africa. Mat's results in the National Championships were as follows:
This event was the trial for the World Championships to be held in Bonn, Germany in September. With 5 junior places in the GB squad, Mat has earned himself a place in the British Squad and is now tapering down to be ready to compete for Britain in the World Championships.
For any visitors who are new to our website and are unsure of exactly what a biathle is, it is a 3 stage run-swim-run event.
Spectrum Annual Track Meeting
Victoria Park, Warrington, 29/7/01
Another successful afternoon on the track complete with blisteringly hot sunshine. Sue took on a much appreciated new role, becoming the bell for the final lap.
