Rules for the 2006/7 Season

Men and women run at the same time

Mixed races, 6 to count (teams can score with a minimum of 4 runners)

2nd claim members may score in the 3 league fixtures but not in the championship event

Guests may run in the league fixtures after obtaining the referee's permission on the day

Guests may not run in the Championship event

Championship Event

This is a single event championship, requiring pre-entry. It is independent of the 3 league fixtures.

Divisions

The Liverpool & District League comprises 2 divisions, with promotion and relegation. All clubs from all divisions compete at the same time in the same events. At the end of the 3 league fixtures, up to 2 teams in each division are promoted and relegated. The divisions at the start of the 2007/8 season were:
